About Rockjam Spice – Ben Arthur

I left school without any GCSE’s to show for my time there but fast forward 4 years and I’d be graduating from the very first cohort of Jamie Oliver’s FIFTEEN London apprentices with a merit and a distinction!

Since graduating I have cooked inside No.10 Downing Street, shook hands with the Queen, met a bunch of other celebrities and famous people and cooked for many more, I’ve catered for weddings, funerals, parties and festivals and done pretty much everything from high end bespoke 15 course tasting menu’s for 10-15 distinguished guests to feeding 5000 people in a tent in a field and I have never stopped learning!

After creating some Chilli Jerk Jams as favours for our wedding (and them going down so well) I decided to try making them into an actual product to see how it went.

I started with the Sweet Chilli Jerk Jam and the Hot Chilli Jerk Jam but now have seven different products for you to enjoy and they’re all bangin’ – that means delicious if you didn’t know!

Rockjam Spice revealed its newest and hottest addition to the Jerk Jam Fam in July 2019 – Duppy Jerk Jam.

In Jamaican folklore a Duppy is a malevolent spirit said to take on the form of a barking or howling dog in the night, this Duppy certainly has a loud bark and one hell of a bite that might leave you howling!

You have been warned! As with our other Jerk Jams, (Sweet and Hot), we use the same delicious chillies from North Cornwall Chilli Farm in Wadebridge, Cornwall.

no added salt or artificial additives are used in production and it’s also gluten free, suitable for vegetarians, vegans, meat eaters and anyone with a brave heat tolerance!
